    Username fill in

Could we at least have an automatic fill in facility for username, please? I saw that someone had asked for this and password but I do not see security risk if the password does not have this facility. I seem to be logged out on a regular basis throughout the day so this would help.

    Re: Username fill in

    Hi,

If you are being logged out on a regular basis, you can set the timeout during inactivity for a maximum of 40 minutes.  To do this go to the settings tab and then click on 'security' and then on the right hand side click on the link 'login policy'.  You can change the logout time for inactivity from 5 minutes to 40 minutes.

We have added the autofil for the username and the password into the features list for discussion, however this may affect the security of proptrack and may therefore not be included in the software in a future release.  If you have the inactivity timeout set to 40 minutes this will reduce the amount of logging back into the software, however this is there to protect the user base and prevent anyone using your pc and thus gaining access if there is the autofil capabilities.

    Many thanks.

    Re: Username fill in

I am also beginning to find this a little annoying having to dig out my user details every time I want to login.

    Launch Password Manager
    Find Proptrack Details
    Enter Username
    Enter Password
    Enter Captcha

In this fast paced environment that is 20 seconds too much time lost!

The 40 minute time out is a great idea but I do think you should have the option in the security settings to allow a user to choose whether or not they want to be logged in permanently and maybe even disable the captcha if logging in from a certain ip address.

I for example work in my office which has 3 levels of security and is behind bombproof doors and my terminal is only accessed by myself via an RFID tag which only activates within a 10 cm range.

So in my case my computer is pretty safe.

I cannot vouch for the other agents but I think you should make things a little more flexible for the advanced users.

    Re: Username fill in

    Hi Craig,

I understand this can be frustrating if you already have 3 levels of security in place in your office, however not all users and agents have such secure offices.  The ability to allow the user to choose their security settings and whether or not they wish to be permanently logged in etc is a possible option that may or may not be added to the software in the future, however our site is robust due to the security levels that are in place, and whilst this is a little frustrating for some, we have to ensure that our site is robust and secure for all and protect the data security in the software.

Thanks for the comments though! Big Smile

    I agree,

An auto fill for the name and password, or just the name if you feel there is a real security risk. Aklternatively, the option to be logged in untill you choose to log out?
